Results

Lock Haven, Pa. - The cross country course at Lock Haven has sure been good to junior James McBride this season. After winning an invitational at the site a month ago, McBride set a personal best by 38 seconds in Saturday's PSAC Championship to place sixth and earn All-PSAC honors. The team placed seventh out of 14 schools.

McBride's 25:04 was the seventh-fastest 8K time in school history and the fastest time by a Marauder since Mark Stallings ran a 24:35 at Lock Haven in 2001. He was also Millersville's highest finisher at the PSAC's since Stephen Pizzuli took fifth in 2003.

Lock Haven's Alex Monroe took first with a time of 24:31.5. Defending champion Scott Anderson of Edinboro placed just under six seconds later but was one of five Fighting Scots to crack the top 16. They took the team crown with 46 points.

The Marauders, with 213 points, tied with Kutztown for seventh. Millersville also finished seventh last year.

Connor Veres was the Marauders' No. 2 finisher in 42nd with a season-best time of 26:19.7. Zach Mains also set a personal best with a 26:41.5, which was good for 57th overall and 51st in the team scoring. Michael Parker's career-best time of 26:44.6 was good for 61st, and Bradley Slaughter placed in 67th with a time of 26:55.9.

The Marauders next compete at the NCAA Atlantic Regional at Slippery Rock on Nov. 5.
