
Jennings Paces Marauders at Millersville Metrics

Millersville, Pa. — Senior Priscilla Jennings' win in the 800 meter run provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships and six other Millersville athletes won events on Friday, as the men's and women's track and field teams took part in the Millersville Metrics at Biemesderfer Stadium.
Jennings ran a 2:11.26 in her 800 victory. Her time bested the NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 2:15.00 and was her fastest time in the event this season. The veteran runner was followed up in the event by teammate Michele Frayne, who finished with a 2:34.29, while Alex Harrington of Franklin & Marshall was third.
Other winners on the women's side included Brittney Zuver (1500 meter run), Emily Francisco (5000 meter run), and Frayne (javelin throw). Millersville ran four 4x400 relay teams against each other, with the 'A' team of Jennings, Brittany Yanora, Beth Fry, and Chrissy Savage emerging victorious.
In men's competition, the Marauders were led by wins from Adam Malloy (800 meter run), James McBride (1500 meter run), and Scott Pasternacki (hammer throw). MU's 4x100 relay 'A' team comprised of Keith Ogden, Anthony Adamski, Damian Myers, and Stephen Boyd finished second to Cheyney, while the 4x400 relay team won a head-to-head battle with Penn State-Berks, after the team from Franklin & Marshall failed to finish.
Millersville's next competition for both the men and women comes via the Penn Relays, which take place April 23-25 (next Thurs.-Sat.) at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
