A two-sport star for the Marauders in the mid-to-late 1980's, Stacey Hollinger excelled in field hockey and softball.
As a goalie for former coach Carol Miller's fielders, Hollinger still holds the MU season record for save percentage (.935 in 1986), and retains 'Ville career marks for victories (34), shutouts (27), goals-against average (0.85), and save percentage (.906).
Hollinger received College Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-America First Team honors in 1987 and was an honorable mention selection in 1988. She also earned All-PSAC honors in her junior and senior seasons.
In softball, Hollinger was a .343 career hitter (fifth highest in MU annals), and was a two-time All-PSAC and All-PSAC East choice (1986 and 1987), and also gained NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic Region First Team kudos in 1987. She currently ranks in the top ten in fielding percentage and slugging percentage in MU history.
Following graduation with a bachelor's of science in education degree in elementary education (mathematics concentration), Hollinger served as assistant field hockey and softball coach at MU from 1989 to 1994. At nearby Franklin & Marshall, she was head softball coach during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Hollinger has served as assistant field hockey coach at Lebanon Valley College since 1994, and also has been the Flying Dutchmen's head softball coach since 1999. In 2001, she earned Middle Atlantic Conference (Commonwealth Division) Coach of the Year honors in softball.
