Trejon Dinkins

Trejon Dinkins, a former Millersville football team captain and athletics department graduate assistant, has returned to his alma mater in 2026 as the assistant director of athletics for academic success.
Dinkins brings with him ties to the University and experience in the PSAC as he spent the previous five years at Shippensburg University, including the last four as the director of the Raiders Academic Center for Student-Athletes. In that role, Dinkins provided strategic leadership for academic support services, guiding more than 450 student-athletes annually to the highest academic achievement analytics in the department's history. Dinkins developed a year-round program focused on leadership development, career readiness, retention, life skills and holistic student-athlete success. He also oversaw a student and professional staff that assisted in student-athlete academic performance.
While at Shippensburg, Dinkins also worked as a game management administrator, directing ticket operations for football and basketball games, overseeing game day staff and operations.
Before arriving at Shippensburg, Dinkins served two years as a graduate assistant in event management and academic support. In that role, he worked with facility operations, event logistics and scheduling as well as holding academic meetings with at-risk student-athletes to improve retention and graduation rates.
Dinkins has served as a co-chair of the PSAC Social Justic Alliance, deputy Title IX coordinator at Shippensburg, and a committee member for N4A Emerging Professionals. He was a facilitator at the 2025 Career in Sports Forum, spoke at the 2024 NACDA Convention, and was a 2023 Division II Award of Excellence winner.
Dinkins earned a bachelor's degree in sports business from Millersville in 2019 and completed a master's degree in sports management in 2022, graduating with summa cum laude honors.
