P.J. Barr joined the Millersville football coaching staff prior to the 2026 season as its offensive line coach.
Barr, a former four-year starter and team captain as an offensive lineman at Bucknell, coached the tight ends coach on Folmar's offensive staff at Bucknell in 2025. Barr also served as the director of football operations, managing day-to-day operations, arranging travel, meals, camps, study halls for players and fundraising events.
Before returning to his alma mater, Barr worked as an offensive quality control coach and player development assistant at Rutgers under Greg Schiano.
Before embarking on his coaching career, Barr enjoyed a stellar playing career for the Bison. He started a game at all five offensive line positions, earned two All-Patriot League honors and was named his team's outstanding offensive lineman twice. Barr was also a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll honoree. He played a graduate season at the University of Maine, starting at left tackle in all 11 games and earned All-CAA Second Team honors and a spot on the CAA Academic Honor Roll while receiving the team's outstanding offensive lineman award. He started at left guard in the Dream Bowl. While playing, Barr worked as an offensive graduate assistant, creating recruiting boards, breaking down film, grading practices and assisting with play installations. Barr received an invitation to the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie mini-camp.
