Dan Ross joined Millersville Athletics as the Director of Athletic Development in the summer of 2026. Ross, a native of Lancaster, Pa., came to Millersville after serving as the Chief Development Officer at Attollo Prep in Lancaster. In that role, he led fundraising efforts through cultivation of gifts and securing over $1.5 million in state funding while also growing his staff. Ross' work during the 2025 ExtraGive made Attollo the top-ranked organization in the county for unique individual donors.
Ross is no stranger to collegiate athletics as he was a standout swimmer at Georgetown, winning three Big East titles and our All-Big East honors while serving as a team captain before graduating with a degree in government and philosophy in 2018. In 2022, he earned a master's degree in project management from Georgetown. Ross laid the foundation for his career as an active student on campus, serving as president of the Georgetown Interhall Council and social media manager for Sustainable Ocean Alliance.
While pursuing his master's degree, he launched The Racial Justice Institute and worked as a development associate for the Georgetown University Law Center, managing donor events, fundraising efforts and volunteers.
Since completing his education at Georgetown, Ross has worked in development with the Leadership Now Project and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Attollo Prep. At Attollo, he focused on major gifts, worked with local businesses for fundraising, and raised more than $165,000 during the ExtraGive.
