Biff Walizer

Biff Walizer joined the Millersville wrestling coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2011-12 season. He brings to the program a long history of competition at the highest levels of wrestling and an impressive high school coaching record.

Before coming to Millersville, Walizer spent the previous 12 years as the head coach at Red Lion High School. During his tenure, he produced four division team titles, 15 PIAA Championship qualifiers, nine PIAA medalists and two PIAA state finalists.

Walizer graduated from Penn State with a degree in special education in 1998. He was a four-year letterwinner with the Nittany Lions, winning NCAA Division I All-America honors once. Four times he qualified for the NCAA Championships, and in 1998, he was the Big Ten Conference runner-up.

In the classroom, Walizer was named Big Ten All-Academic three times and was NWCA All-Academic Honorable Mention twice.

His amateur wrestling career also included championships at Espoir Junior National Greco-Roman Championship and the University National Freestyle Championship. Walizer competed in the U.S. Greco-Roman World Team Trials in 1999 and 2002.
