Collin Hummel joined the Millersville women's swimming coaching staff prior to the 2022-23 season and brought with a PSAC Championship and All-America resume.
A standout swimmer at Bloomsburg, Hummel was an All-PSAC performer all four years of his career. With the Huskies, Hummel won nine PSAC titles in relay events. As a senior in 2022, he finished in the top four of four individual events at the PSAC Championships and delivered four NCAA qualifying times. He twice earned All-America status for his relay performances.
An outstanding student as well, Hummel earned CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team in 2020 and CSCAA Scholar All-America honors three times. He was his team's GPA Award winner three times.
Hummel began coaching as a private swim instructor in 2019, working one-on-one with swimmers to enhance their stroke technique, strength and physical and mental endurance. Starting in 2020, Hummel became an assistant coach for the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA, working with swimmers 10-18 years old.
Hummel, a Dean's List student and member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honors Society, received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bloomsburg in 2022. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports management from Millersville.
