Aubrey Bowles, a former Villanova team captain and All-BIG EAST swimmer, joined Evan Anthony's coaching staff as a graduate assistant before the 2025-26 season.
Bowles completed his Villanova swimming career as a 12-time BIG EAST finalist, earning All-BIG EAST honors in the 200-yard backstroke as a junior. He qualified for the conference championship finals in the 200 back in all four seasons. While Bowles specialized in the backstroke, he also owns Villanova's ninth-fastest time in the 1,000-yard freestyle and competed in the 500-yard freestyle, 1,650-yard freestyle and 400-yard individual medley.
An outstanding performer in the classroom, Bowles earned BIG EAST All-Academic Team recognition twice and was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all eight semesters. Bowles was active on campus and in the community as well, broadcasting Villanova football and basketball games and hosting a sports talk show on WXVU 89.1. He taught swimming lessons at NOVA of Virginia Aquatics for two years.
Bowles graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications and journalism concentration in May 2025.
