Amanda Baer, a former standout second baseman at Bloomsburg, joined Coach Jennifer Probst for her first season with the Marauders in 2016. In her first season the Marauders, she helped the program to its first-ever PSAC Tournament berth and a 28-20 record. The success continued in year two when Brittany Smith was named the program's first PSAC East Player of the Year. In 2018, Baer helped the Marauders to the PSACÂ Tournament for the second time in three years while the team set a school record for home runs.Â
Baer was a four-year starter for the Huskies, logging 191 starts with a .300 career batting average. She was named All-PSAC Central First Team in 2012 and was a two-time All-Atlantic Region Second Team pick.Â
A Dean's List student and PSAC Scholar-Athlete, Baer earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2014.Â
