Kathy Cummings saw her 22nd season with the Millersville softball program come and go in the spring of 2015 as she led the Marauders to an overall record of 21-24 including a mark of 11-17 in PSAC East play for the second-straight season. With Cummings at the helm, the team completed a four-game sweep of Shippensburg including home scores of 4-1 and 6-2 before road victories that included finals of 7-0 and 2-1. Tallied a season-high four-game winning streak from April 15 through April 17 over Shepherd (3-2, 2-0) and the away portion of the Shippensburg season series (7-0, 2-1). Stephanie Kulp became Cummings' 31st All-PSAC selection as she was named All-PSAC East Second Team as an outfielder in 2015. The 2015 team also tied the program record for home runs in a season with 22 that was set in 2006.

In 2014, Cummings completed her 21st season as the head coach of the Millersville softball team. She led the Marauders to a 23-25 finish that included a 2-1 win over No. 22 ranked West Virginia Wesleyan as part of its tournament on March 16 as well as a home sweep over West Chester (1-0, 4-0) on April 18. Millersville softball hadn't shut out the Golden Rams in both games of a doubleheader since April 23, 2002 and hadn't swept them since April 2, 2008. With Cummings as a part of the coaching staff, the program won its 500th game against Chowan on Feb. 23 with a score of 4-2 at the Shaw Challenge. The 2014 squad was very good defensively as its .967 fielding percentage was good for fifth in the PSAC and 31st in the nation and the team set a program record for defensive assists in a season with 484. Offensively, the 2014 Marauders tied a program record for doubles in a season with 74, was third in the PSAC and 44th in the country in doubles per game at 1.54. She also had several players earn accolades during the season and after the season as well. Brianna Andraos was named PSAC East Pitcher of the Week three times, All-PSAC East First Team and Daktronics All-Atlantic Region Second Team. Brittany Smith was named PSAC East Player of the Week once and NFCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team as a designated player. Jordan Sheffield rounded out the honors with a one-time PSAC East Player of the Week honor.

Completing her 20th season at the helm of the Marauders, coach Kathy Cummings lead the 2013 team to 30 wins which is tied for the most in a single season in program history. Cummings directed Millersville to its second best winning percentage (.615) in school history and the best since 1994. At 30-20 overall and 6-10 in the PSAC Cummings 2013 squad placed fourth in the PSAC East. The Black and Gold got off to one of its best starts ever by winning 12 of the first 14 games. The Marauders split the season series 2-2 with national runner-rup Kutztown and finished the year strong by going 7-5 over the final 12 games.

In 2011, Cummings earned her 300th win in a 3-1 victory over West Chester on March 30th. Cummings finished her 18th season with several players earning conference accolades. Four of her players earned All-PSAC First Team selections and one earned All-PSAC Second Team. The most first team selections Millersville has ever had in a season.

Cummings took a young squad to the brink of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs in 2010.

Millersville showed it could play with nationally ranked teams and PSAC powers during the 2010 season. The Marauders played a number of tightly contested games with perennial Eastern Division favorites Kutztown and West Chester. The Black and Gold also went toe-to-toe with teams such as Lock Haven, winners of four of the last five PSAC Championships, and Indiana (Pa.).

The Marauders finished with a 23-24 record, highlighted by a 9-6 season-ending win over West Chester on Senior Day. Millersville dropped four one-run games against ranked opponents, but did see a three-game improvement in conference play from 2009.

Cummings had a number of players earn regonition in 2010. Kelly Fitzgerald was an All-PSAC East First Team selection at catcher and a Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Atlantic Region Second Team pick. Shortstop Lindsay Hosier was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team. In addition, Fitzgerald, Hosier, Alicia Hughes, and Sarah Signore all garnered PSAC weekly honors under Cummings' tutelage.

The 2009 season was one of ups and downs for Cummings' squad. The Marauders were slow out of the gate, but tore through a 17-game stretch from March 9-22, going 14-3. Conference play proved to be a tough road to navigate, but Cummings still managed to lead Millersville to its fourth straight 20-win season. The 24 wins by the 2009 squad were the second most in program history, bested only by the 2006 squad, which won 30 games.

Cummings earned her 250th win as Millersville skipper in a 4-1 doubleheader-opening victory over the University of Sciences in Philadelphia on Mar. 14, 2009.

In 2008, "KC" directed the Marauders to a 20-27 record. MU began the season 6-0 —its best start in 12 years— and set a school record for runs scored in a doubleheader with 78 against Lincoln. The Marauders also snapped West Chester's school-record 16-game winning streak with a come-from-behind 10-5 win in extra innings.

The 2007 season also saw Cummings' crew reach the 20-win plateau. The Marauders did so by remarkably ending Kutztown's 22-game winning streak with a dramatic 4-3 victory in their final game of the season.

In 2006, Cummings enjoyed her most successful season at Millersville by leading the team to its first 30-win season (30-21) in school history. Cummings collected her first PSAC Coach of the Year honor after taking a team that collected 11 wins in divisional play in the previous two years to a 12-12 divisional record and a fourth-place finish in the PSAC East.

Carrying a 29-19 overall record, Millersville earned a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, the first-ever regional appearance for the Marauder squad.

In her 22 seasons leading the softball team Cummings has compiled a 397-521-1 record. She enjoyed exceptional success as the Marauders' field hockey head coach from 1993-96, amassing a 47-27-1 record in her four seasons at the helm.

KC was a two-year varsity letterwinner in softball at Missouri State University, from which she graduated in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. She also served as an assistant coach for the Lady Bear softball team in 1991.

The Foxboro, Mass., native received her master's degree in physical education, with a teaching and coaching emphasis, at Ohio University in 1993. She served as the Lady Bobcats' field hockey assistant in 1991 and 1992.
