Ali McEvoy Campbell, who played for the USA Field Hockey National Team for four years after an All-America and national championship-winning career at Maryland, joined the Millersville field hockey program as its assistant coach in 2018.

McEvoy Campbell played in 31 international games for the national outdoor team. She continues a long, successful run with the national indoor team, playing in 23 international events, most recently winning a gold medal at the Pan American Championships. McEvoy Campbell arrived in Lancaster County in 2013 and even while playing on two national teams, she immersed herself in the coaching scene. She served as head coach of the U16 team for Spooky Nook Field Hockey Academy and was promoted to technical director of the academy in 2016. In that position she coached and developed players who went on to play at the collegiate and international levels. In 2017, she served as the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant coach at Hershey High School, helping the varsity program to a state semifinal appearance, a Mid-Penn Championship and a 20-6 record. As the JV coach, she turned a team with a losing record the previous season into a team with a 15-2 record.

McEvoy Campbell has spent her entire field hockey career in the nation's field hockey hotbed. After graduating from Boyertown High School, she went on to play for NCAA powerhouse Maryland where she was the 2013 ACC and WomensFieldhockey.com Defensive Player of the Year, a member of the 2010 NFHCA All-Rookie Team and a first team All-America pick in 2011 and 2013. She won two NCAA Championships at Maryland.

McEvoy Campbell was just 14 when she started playing with the indoor team and went on to win gold, silver and bronze medals at the Pan American Games. In 2017, she was the tournament's top goal scorer, named top player in the tournament and an Indoor Elite Team selection. She holds the distinction of the youngest player to ever compete on the indoor team and was the first player to represent the USA on two national field hockey teams simultaneously.

McEvoy Campbell earned a bachelor's degree in family sciences from Maryland in 2013.
