Carly Musser joined Millersville University’s baseball team as the mental skills coach during the 2019-2020 season. Carly graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's of science degree in sport and exercise psychology. During her four years there, she also picked up a minor in health promotion as well as a minor in human services/counseling. Carly continued on with her education, and she obtained her master’s degree in sport, exercise, and performance psychology from Barry University.
Prior to working at Millersville, Carly consulted with a U-8/U-19 soccer academy, as well as a women’s NAIA basketball team. As a part of her thesis, she also consulted with and performed a case study with an injured collegiate baseball player.
Carly has done applied work and session topics which include: goal setting, arousal regulation, motivation, stress and anxiety, concentration, mindfulness, and self-efficacy and self-confidence. Carly also successfully defended her thesis--"Using mindfulness meditation training to enhance readiness to return to sport in injured athletes."
Carly is passionate about helping athletes and performers discover self-awareness so that they can become the best version of themselves on and off the field.
