While competing against Division I competition from 2001-05, Curtis Yeager became one of just three wrestlers in program history to qualify for the NCAA Division I Championships three times and is the only Marauder to win the East Region title three times.
The 174-pounder piled up 86 career wins from 2001-05, a mark that still ranks 16th all-time at Millersville. He also ranks fifth in career technical falls, 10th in career falls, and eighth in career bonus point wins. In a highly competitive PSAC laden with Division I programs, Yeager placed third in 2004 and finished as the tournament runner-up as a senior in 2005. A testament to his stellar career, Yeager was one of just 10 Marauders recognized to the All-75th Season Team in 2022.
Yeager won the first of his three NCAA East Region titles as a true freshman in 2002, but he was only getting started. He repeated as a sophomore, qualifying for the NCAA Championships again in 2003, and as a junior, Yeager recorded a 23-9 record with an 11-4 dual record and a first place finish in the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic. His third East Regional title helped the Marauders win the team crown as well for a third straight year. Yeager posted a spotless 14-0 record in duals and won 27 matches during his senior campaign. He is one of just four wrestlers in program history with an undefeated dual season and remains one of just 39 Marauders to win at least 27 matches in a season.
The epitome of a student-athlete, Yeager was a winner of the prestigious PSAC Winter Top 10 Award in 2004-05 and National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I All-Academic Team in both 2004 and 2005 for his combined performance on the mat and in the classroom. He graduated with a degree in occupational safety and environmental health in 2005. Yeager is married to Meghan Yeager, and the couple has a daughter, Sienna, and son, Dominic.
