MILLERSVILLE, Pa — The Millersville men's tennis team took care of business Wednesday afternoon against PSAC foe Shepherd, coming away with a 7–0 win.
The Marauders completely controlled play from start to finish, winning all three doubles and six singles matches. In the top pairing,
Lino Morin and
Sebas Castro defeated Arka Genguly and Fabian Telschow; 6–4. The second and third pairings for 'Ville picked up two easy wins, as
Jasper de Koning and
Paul Bagnouls teamed up for a 6–1 win over Jeremy Williams and Curry Taylor, and
Victor Suarez and
Sandor Wulf capped off the slate with a 6–2 win against Jack Schottler and Khalid Alsadek.
The Marauders made it through singles play facing little resistance from the Rams as well, winning each match in two sets. Morin took care of Genguly in a 6–1, 6–3 win at the top, and was backed up by Suarez beating Telschow; 6–1, 6–2. In the third match, de Koning took down Williams in a 6–3, 6–1 win, and Castro defeated Schottler 6–1, 6–0. In the last two matches of the day, Wulf dominated against Taylor in a 6–0, 6–1 win, and
Joel Oetliker swept Alsadek in a 6–0, 6–0 outcome.
'Ville improved to 7–5 overall and 2–0 in-conference with the win. The Marauders will look to complete their PSAC record perfect tomorrow against the Golden Bears, taking on Kutztown at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon in Kutztown.
