Women's tennis dominates in win over LeTourneau

Box Score HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The Millersville women's tennis team bounced back in its first match of its spring break trip, defeating LeTourneau 6–1. 
 
It was a dominating day down south for Millersville, picking up the doubles point and winning the first five singles matches. Chloe Abramowitz and Luci Consigliere swept Emma Boulanger and Maddie Nichol 6–0, and Sophie Lanius and Yasmin Scott took a 6–1 win against Kylie Weeks and Chloe Tesser. Hui Jen Soo and Lauren Hayes were leading 4–1 against Isa Casso and Elizabeth Moreau before the Letourneau duo did not finish.
 
All five of the Marauders singles match wins came in two sets, starting with Soo winning 6–1, 7–6 over Casso, followed by a 6–0, 6–1 Abramowitz win against Moreau. Hayes picked up a 6–2, 6–0 victory against Boulanger, and Consigliere took her match against Weeks 6–3, 6–2. In the Marauders final win of the day, Lanius came out on top 6–1, 6–3 against Tesser.
 
The Marauders will look to continue their strong spring in a dual against Albany State at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 13.
