
Yosko breaks school record in 200 fly, highlighting day three of PSAC Championships

YORK, Pa. - The Millersville women's swimming enters the final day of the PSAC Championships with a shot for its best-ever team finish, and the effort was buoyed by the performance of Mackenzie Yosko and others on Wednesday. Yosko set a school record in the 200-yard butterfly and finished seventh.
The Marauders, with 465 points hold a two-point lead on Gannon for fifth place after three days of competition. Millersville's previous best finish was seventh.
Yosko's swam her school record time of 2:10.75 in the prelims and then touched the wall in 2:10.92 in the finals for her first career podium finish.
Jordan Plempel made her way to the podium for the third time in as many days by placing sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 1:06.46 in the finals after a 1:05.89 in the morning prelims. Leah Eckert (1:06.68) took 12th and Jewels Hepner (1:08.06) finished 15th in the same event.
Three Marauders scored points in the 500-yard freestyle. Claire Weaver (5:08.14) and Jane McClelland (5:11.65) finished ninth and 10th respectively, and Izabella Wreski's 5:13.50 was good for 13th. Weaver's time was season-best.
Millersville's 200-yard medley relay team of Weaver, Yosko, Leah Eckert and Anna Sassaman placed 10th with a time of 1:49.62.
