LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Millersville junior Dante Weise impacted the game at both ends of the court last week, and on Monday, he was named the PSAC Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week. 

In two games, Weise totaled nine rebounds, four steals, and a blocked shot in addition to scoring a career-high 20 points in a win over Jefferson. Weise came off the bench in both games and played outstanding defense, sparking Millersville to a victory over previously undefeated Jefferson. In that game, Weise helped Millersville hold Jefferson to 38.3% shooting from the field and helped create 17 Jefferson turnovers. His seven rebounds against Jefferson were also a season high. 

Weise has recorded two steals in all four games, and while he has generated turnovers, he's taken care of the ball at an exceptional rate. He's totaled 16 assists to just two turnovers in the last three games and ranks third in the PSAC in assist/turnover ratio. He also ranks 14th in the conference in steals per game. 

Millersville hosts Wilson College at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 for its final game before Thanksgiving break.
