Millersville swimming drops two in tri-meet

UNION, N.J. - Millersville swimming competed in a tri-meet on Friday, falling 140-120 to Montclair State and 179-81 to Kean.
This is the second consecutive meeting between Millersville and Kean, with Kean winning both. Saturday marked the first dual between Millersville and Montclair State.
Jordan Plempel was Millersville's top swimmer with a runner-up finish and two third-place finishes. She took second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.40), third in the 200-yard backstroke, and third in the 100-yard backstroke.
Millersville had three other runner-up finishes. Jane McClelland swam an 11:03.13 for second in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Claire Weaver was the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.36. Mackenzie Yosko posted a 2:19.56 for second in the 200-yard butterfly.
Millersville is now 4-4 and has just one dual remaining on its schedule--Senior Day against Cal U on Jan. 25.
