MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — For the second time in three seasons, the Marauders clinched the PSAC East title with a 5–2 win over Bloomsburg.
After a slow start in doubles play, as
Noelle Htwar and
Hui Jen Soo got the lone win with a 7–6 outcome, the Marauders righted the ship in singles play. Htwar battled in a 6–4, 3–6, 7–5 win, and
Chloe Abramowitz followed her with a 6–2, 6–3 victory.
Sido Rault bounced back from falling in the first set to win 3–6, 6–2, 6–2, and
Lauren Hayes clinched the win by defeating her opponent 6–2, 4–6, 7–6. In the last match of the day,
Sophie Lanius also completed a comeback win by the score of 4–6, 7–6, 6–3.
The Marauders have one last match before the PSAC Tournament, as they'll hit the road to face Lock Haven at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning in Lock Haven, Pa.
