Marauders battle in hard fought win over West Chester

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — The Millersville women's tennis team bounced back with a 5–2 win over West Chester Saturday afternoon.

Chloe Abramowitz and Sido Rault won their doubles match, but the Golden Rams took the other two to secure the point in doubles play. Trailing early, the Marauders fought back to grind out some wins crucial to securing the victory. In the top spot in singles play, Noelle Htwar went the distance in her match coming away with a 7–6, 4–6, 6–1 win to start. Abramowitz fell in the first set of her match, but won in three 1–6, 6–4, 6–3. Rault controlled her match with a 6–3, 6–4 win. The Marauders won the two matches of the day in comeback fashion, as Lauren Hayes and Sophie Lanius both came back from being down 1–4 at times. Hayes won her first set, but it came down to the wire in her third set to win 7–5, 2–6, 7–6. In the last match, Lanius battled to win 4–6, 7–5, 6–4.
