MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's tennis team bested Franklin & Marshall by the score of 6–1 at McComsey Tennis Courts to improve to 6–6.
In a tightly contested round of doubles play, it was the Marauders who would earn the extra point. The top pair of
Noelle Htwar and
Hui Jen Soo took care of business with a 6–4 win, and
Lauren Hayes and
Sophie Lanius won the third match to secure the doubles point.
Millersville had success in singles play as well, winning each of the top five matches. Htwar came away with a 6–2, 6–2 victory, and Soo eeked out a 6–7, 6–1, 1–0 win. After falling in a down-to-the-wire doubles match,
Chloe Abramowitz and
Sido Rault both bounced back with wins in their individual matches. Abramowitz won 6–4, 6–2, and Rault came back to win 3–6, 6–3, 1–0. Hayes added another victory to her record with a 6–4, 6–2 win in the fifth match.
The Marauders have now won three of their last four and will have a nine day break before their next match against Goldey-Beacom at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 in Wilmington, Del.
