MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville men's tennis team stopped its three-match skid with a dominant 6–1 victory over Post University Tuesday afternoon.
In doubles play, the Marauders fought and earned two close wins with their top two duos.
Dylan Tull and
Zach Pernia battled to a 6–4 win in the top spot, and
Lino Morin and
Jasper de Koning went the distance to win 7–6, winning the Marauders the point.
In singles play, Millersville continued to find success, winning five of the six matches. Tull was pushed to three sets, but came out on top with a 6–2, 2–6, 6–3 win. Pernia won a close first set in his match, but was able to clinch the match in the second set, winning 7–5, 6–1.
Lino Morin was able to win 6–2, 6–3, while
Valentin Ebner bounced back from a first set loss to win 1–6, 6–3, 6–3. In the last match,
Victor Suarez came away with a 6–4, 6–2 win.
With the win, the Marauders improve to 4–3, with all four wins coming at home. The Marauders return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at McComsey Tennis Courts to host Jefferson.
