LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - In the last game of the season, Millersville was edged by Lock Haven in the final minutes, falling 1-0.
Millersville had several chances in the first half to score a goal. They outshot Lock Haven 6-0 and placed three shots on frame.
Their closest chance came in the 24th minute of play when the Marauders earned a corner. Kiley Marandola serviced the ball in the box and running on was Hannah Blackman, who headed the ball over the crossbar.
Inching for a goal, the Marauders generated three shots in three minutes, but could not find the back of the net.
As time was winding down, the Bald Eagles intercepted the ball with five minutes remaining in play and charged toward the Marauders territory. Lock Haven's Evelyn Ciaccia played Eva Stoessel into space, and off two touches fired a shot 30-yards out to take the late 1-0 lead.
Millersville concluded its 2024 season 6-6-5 in regular play and 5-6-5 in PSAC East play.
