MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville men's soccer team faced off in an intense battle with PSAC East rival West Chester Wednesday and suffered their first loss of the season 3-0. It was just the second time the Marauders have been shutout.
The Marauder offense had been dominant throughout the last seven games, totaling 15 goals, 123 shots, and 55 corner kicks. Tonight was no different as Millersville fired nine shots, but the odds were not in their favor as West Chester goalkeeper, Daniel Good, made five tremendous saves, two of those on Millersville breakaway attacks. The Golden Rams defense found a way to successfully hold the Marauders from scoring.
With the loss, Millersville drops to third in the PSAC East (2-1-1) behind both West Chester and Bloomsburg. The Marauders are now 5-1-2.
