PSAC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll released

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The women's soccer coaches of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its preseason polls for the Eastern and Western divisions Tuesday afternoon. West Chester, the defending conference champion, was picked as the favorite in the East, while in the West, Gannon, the conference runner-up was selected as the favorite. In the East, Millersville secured the No. 5 spot.
Head coach Matt Procopio is entering his ninth season at Millersville. Procopio has retained 17 returning players and has introduced an addition 11 players to enhance the team.
The Marauders were picked to finish behind the West Chester (No. 1), Bloomsburg (No. 2), Kutztown (No. 3), and East Stroudsburg (No. 4). West Chester received eight first-place votes, while Bloomsburg received one. As for the West, Gannon (No. 1) earned eight first-place votes and Slippery Rock (No. 2) received one vote.
Millersville is set to kick off their season Saturday, Sept. 2 at Goldey-Beacom. The match is slated to start at one.
