'Ville wrestling introduces 2023-24 incoming class

| By:
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville wrestling carried the momentum of one of its most successful seasons in recent history into the offseason, signing 10 high school seniors and one transfer as part of a recruiting class that will join the program in the fall of 2023. It is the first full recruiting class for Coach Jerry Boland, who enters his second season in 2023-24.

The class includes Mason Beatty (Mount Union, Pa.), Nick Bennet (Waretown, N.J.), Nick Cottone (Waretown, N.J.), Cole Dubois (Elmer, N.J.), Kael Howell (Smyrna, Del.), Tyler Hurst (New Holland, Pa.), Braxton Keiffer (Columbia, Pa..), Avery Kuhns (Chambersburg, Pa.), Adrien Laboy (Cape May, N.J.), Aidan Micheli (Walnutport, Pa.), and Riley O'Boyle (Manahawkin, N.J.).

The 11-athlete class covers seven weight classes and is a look to the future. While Millersville returns 24 wrestlers and all 10 starters from its dual lineup, 12 Marauders are set to graduate in 2024.

"I'm extremely excited for this class," said Boland. "From a talent perspective, top to bottom, they are top notch. Most importantly, though, they all have high character. They will add to our positive culture and represent our core values well. With the amazing upperclassman leadership already in place, the sky is the limit for this group."

In 2022-23, Millersville cracked the top 10 of the NWCA team rankings for the first time and posted its best-ever finish in the PSAC standings. The team took fifth at the Super Region I Championships, placing six in the top five. Devin Flannery earned his second-straight All-America honor, and Brandon Connor qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second time.
