KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pair of Marauders were named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Men's All-America Team, as Aaron Maynard and Bob Hennessey earned the first team honors.
This marks the first time two Marauders earned spots on an All-American team, and it is also the first time a Marauder has been named to the first team. Maynard is now a two-time All-American, the first Marauder to accomplish that feat after being named to the third team in in 2021. The duo racked up a list of accomplishments following the 2023 season, as Maynard was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Year, Hennessey was named PSAC East Athlete of the Year, and both earned D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Honors. Maynard and Hennessey were the only men's PSAC athletes to earn first team honors, and two of the only three be named an All-American.
Maynard started every game for the Marauders, manning the back line of defense and helping Millersville post a .85 goals against average with only 17 total goals against. Maynard chipped in two goals late in the season, most notably the game-winning goal in the PSAC Championship against West Chester.
Hennessey led the team in goals with 11 and was tied for the team lead in assists with three, posting 27 total points, good for the tied-10th highest scoring season in program history. Hennessey also was named the PSAC Tournament MVP for a four-goal performance in the semifinals against Seton Hill.
