ERIE, Pa. - Before the start of Friday's PSAC Tournament Semifinal match-up between Millersville and Seton Hill, the conference announced Millersville senior Mike Kreider as the recipient of the 2023 PSAC Men's Soccer Champion Scholar Award.
Initiated for the 2011-12 academic year, the PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 awards and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 22 team championship finals. Kreider boasts a 3.992 cumulative GPA over 140 credits.
Kreider is an allied health technology major and team captain. He was an All-PSAC Second Team selection in 2022, and in 2023, he helped the Marauders post nine shutouts. Kreider is just the third Marauder ever and the first since 2021 to win the award. He is the first Millersville men's soccer player to receive the honor.
