NEW YORK, NY. - The Millersville men's soccer team suffered their first road loss of the season, falling 4-0 to Mercy.
In the early minutes of play, the Marauders were attempting to assess the flow of the game. Mercy used this to their advantage and capitalized with a goal in the 15th minute of play, courtesy from Johannes Hanken Tjostheim. Despite their efforts, the Marauders were unable to find the back of the net in the first half, managing only three shots in the process. Two more late goals came from the Mavericks in the first half of play to hold the lead 3-0 over the Marauders.
The Marauders came out with more fire in the second half. They nearly doubled their shot total from the first period with five, but couldn't put one home. Mercy sealed the deal with a goal in the final minute.
The Marauders look to bounce back against when they visit Shepherd on Oct. 7.
