Bella Fiorenza recognized again as PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Millersville University goalkeeper Bella Fiorenza was recognized for the second time this season as the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Fiorenza has been a key defensive element for the Marauders this season. She has started all 14 games thus far, playing every minute. Despite the 2-0 loss against Shepherd, she saved seven shots on net to keep the game within reach. In the Marauders' 2-1 comeback win against East Stroudsburg, Fiorenza only let one goal get past her but made a career high of nine saves. She posted a 90% save rate in that game to help lead the Marauders to a road win.
Fiorenza is ranked 10th in saves in the PSAC East. She has made 59 saves, averages 4.21 saves a game, and has a 0.776 save percentage for the Marauders in net. She is ranked seventh in the PSAC East standings averaging 1.286 goals against. She also has recorded three shutouts on the season.
Millersville will resume PSAC East play at home on Wednesday, Oct. 25 against Shippensburg at 7 p.m. for their Pink Out game.
