Marauders prep for final stretch starting against Lander

ABOUT THE MATCH

The Marauders are gearing up for the final stretch of the 2023 regular season as they fight for a spot in the PSAC Tournament. Currently on the outside looking in with a 3–4 in-conference record, the Marauders host the Lander Bearcats for their final non-conference game of the season.

Millersville is 6–2 on the season at home with a +21 goal differential in those games.
The Marauders are coming off a 1–0 loss against Bloomsburg, where they outshot the Huskies 11–6 and led in shots on goal 4–1.
Millersville has 136 shots on goal on 218 shot attempts, good for a .624 shots on goal percentage and a .156 shooting percentage. The Marauders have only ceded 86 shot attempts, with only 46 shots on goal for their opponents.
The Marauders have dominated in penalty corners, holding a 172–80 advantage over their opponents.
19 of the 34 Millersville goals on the season have been assisted.
Qhayiya Nogoduka has been the Marauders top offensive producer, scoring eight goals so far on 30 shots. Nogoduka also has two assists, giving her 18 points on the season.
Codi Bollinger has been right behind Nogoduka, totaling 13 points on the season. Bollinger has five goals and three assists on 17 shots on goal.
Kerstin Koons has started every game for the Marauders, putting up a .71 goals allowed average and .727 save percentage.

The Bearcats come into the matchup off a 1–2 road loss at Kutztown on Oct. 20.
The Bearcats have outscored their opponents 36–14. The Lakers have been outshot by their opponents 242–88, and have a .607 shots on goal percentage to their opponents .614.
The Bearcats have had the advantage over their opponents in terms of penalty corners, having 128 to their 54.
The Bearcats leading scorer is Aniek Vreeken with 15 points (six goals, three assists), followed by Philippine Drost with 14 points (six goals, two assists) and Victoria Hulst with 13 points (five goals, three assists).
Isabel Elenga has started all 13 games for the Bearcats, making 33 saves on 46 shots on goal, posting a .717 save percentage and allowing 1.11 goals allowed per game.

This is the first ever matchup between the two programs, marking the 37th different opponent the Marauders have played.
This season is the second for Lander's field hockey program, and the Marauders will be the 12th opponent the Bearcats have played.
Millersville is the second PSAC opponent Lander has played, the first being the Bearcats recent loss to Kutztown.
