LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- After a dominating win over Shippensburg on Wednesday, the Marauders carried over their momentum in a 1-0 victory over Lock Haven. The Marauders improved to 8–2–3 overall and 5–1–2 against PSAC opponents.
During the first half, Millersville recorded just two shots on net, but the Marauders made them count. One of those shots came from the foot of Bob Hennessey who scored the lone goal of today's match. Defender Jake Altimore made an excellent clearance in the back field to find the foot of Josh Rodriguez. Rodriguez placed his pass just in between the Lock Haven back line, leading Hennessey into the box where he was able to place a low shot just passed the reach of Brady Freiwald.
The second half was slow for both team with only four shots and two corner kick attempts. With a solid performance from the Marauder back line and goal keeper Travis Holliday, Millersville was able to secure its second victory over Lock Haven this season.
The Marauders now have a few days to recover and prepare for their next opponent before they host East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Pucillo Field.

POSTGAME REACTION FROM STEVE WIDDOWSON:
Thoughts on the overall performance: "A good result for us today but not a very good performance overall. While the conditions were tricky, we didn't help ourselves as we did not do much of what we talked about as being important. However, at this time of year, finding a way to win is an important trait and scraping out a 1-0 result is always good."
How the team is going to continue to the post season: "It's pretty simple to make the playoffs, we need to keep getting results and building on performances. We are close, but still have some very important games ahead of us."
