Strickland strikes twice as Marauders move to 6-0

SPARKILL, N.Y. - It took No. 4 Millersville just 26 seconds to take the lead, and Kate Strickland's early-season scoring barrage continued as she tallied two goals and an assist in the Marauders' 4-0 win at Saint Thomas Aquinas Saturday.

Strickland scored each of Millersville's first two goals. After the early first-quarter tally, she gave the Marauders a 2-0 lead 1:18 into the third quarter. Ashlynn Lennon added to Millersville's lead just three minutes later, and Qhayiya Nogoduka scored off an assist from Strickland in the game's 53rd minute. Georgia Werkiser and Codi Bollinger also added assists.

Strickland took eight of the Marauders' 20 shots, landing a team-high three on goal. She boosted her season goal total to eight while Werkiser and Bollinger recorded their second assists of the season.

Millersville limited Saint Thomas Aquinas to eight shots, and Kerstin Koons made four saves for the Marauders' third-straight shutout.
