WILMINGTON, Del. - Goldey-Beacom defended its home court with a 7-0 sweep of the Millersville women's tennis team Tuesday afternoon.
The loss dropped Millersville to 4-4 while Goldey-Beacom's record improved to 5-3.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Two of the three doubles matches were decided by just two points, and two of the three singles matches needed a third-set tiebreaker. Goldey-Beacom players came out on top in each match-up. At No. 2 singles, Millersville
Julie Wallace won the second set to even the match, but Imane Van Veen held on, 6-2, 3-6, 10-3. In the No. 4 slot,
Kelsey Heckert won the first set by a 7-5 count, but Andrea Fresneda rallied to win 5-7, 6-1, 10-8.
• Goldey-Beacom improved to 6-0 all-time against the Marauders.
