
Marauders set new personal bests at Franklin and Marshall Invitational

LANCASTER. Pa. - The Millersville swim team reached new personal bests and season bests in nearly each event at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational this weekend.
The Marauders finished sixth out of 10 teams, totaling 713 points over the course of three days.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
- Jordan Plempel set six personal best records this weekend. She now holds top times in four of those events (50 free, 100 free, 100 breast, 200 IM). The sophomore also had a sixth place finish in the 200-yard IM (2:09.14), and fourth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.53),
- 50 Free (24.39)

- 50 Breast (30.05)
- 100 Breast (1:05.53)
- 200 Breast (2:28.58)
- 200 IM (2:09.14)
- Jane McClelland had a second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:09.57) and an eighth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.25). These are both top times of the season for McClelland and put her at second place in the rankings. Additionally, McClelland set a new season high in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:45.46).
- Claire Weaver placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle with a season best time of 1:55.99.
- Leah Eckert finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a top time of 1:05.30. Eckert also set new season highs in the 50-yard breaststroke (30.44), 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.06), and 200 IM (2:17.84). All of these times rank in the top three on the team, for the season.
- Jewels Hepner had a sixth place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (53.81). Hepner also had seasonal best times in the 50-yard free (24.53), 100-yard free (53.66), and the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.63).
- Leah Miksa set a season best in the 50 yard-free (25:38)
- Kristen Maile reached a season high in the 50-yard free (25.45) and also holds top times 100-yard fly (1:00.39) and the 50-yard fly (28.09).
- Lindsay Robbins swam a new seasonal high in the 50-yard free (25.96)
- Rebecca Yeager reached a season high in the 500-yard freestyle (5:26.61) and the 200-yard fly (2:18.46).
- Mackenzie Yosko set a new new personal best in the 50-yard backstroke (29.91), the 100-yard backstroke ( 1:03.01), and the 200-yard backstroke (2:14.28). Yosko also holds top three time in the 50-yard fly (27.86) and 100-yard fly (1:01.55).
- Kate Pelagatti and Ilana Jacobson set season high times in the 400 IM (4:56.67) and (5:14.09).
- The 200-yard freestyle team, Plempel, Miksa, Hepner, and Maile finished fifth with a time of 1:38.64. This is a top time on the season.
- The relay team of Claire Weaver, Leah Eckert, Kristen Maile, and Jordan Plempel placed fifth in the 400-yard medley relay.
- The 200-yard medley relay team finished 2nd with a time of (1:47.39). This is a season best for Weaver, Eckert, Maile, and Plempel.
