Maynard, Shortt earn D2CCA All-Atlantic Region honors

ATHENS, W.Va. – The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association released its Atlantic Region men's soccer teams and Millersville earned a spot on both the first and second team. Aaron Maynard was selected to the first team, while Spencer Shortt earned second team honors.
Aaron Maynard, who is now a two-time D2CCA All-Atlantic Region selection, earns a first team nod after a dominant season. The redshirt sophomore adds this award to his 2022 shelf after collecting PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Year and All-PSAC East First team earlier this month. The defender played a large role in the team's lowest goals-against average (.83) since the 2015 season (.73) and helped 'Ville allow just 15 goals this season, which ties both the 2009 and 2015 teams as the least-allowed in program history. Maynard finished 2022 with four goals, while recording 17 shots, 11 landing on-frame.
Shortt is a first-time D2CCA All-Atlantic Region selection and was named to the second team. He is the first Marauder forward to earn the honor since Jake Gosselin in 2019 and just the second in program history. The redshirt senior led the Marauders' offensive unit this season, finishing with a team-high 17 points, coming from four goals and nine assists. He ends his Marauder career as one of, if not the best facilitator in program-history, sending out the most assists in Millersville history with 33.
