KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Millersville women's soccer team ended its final match of the regular season in a draw with Kutztown, 2-2. The Marauders (3-8-6, 3-7-6 PSAC East) end their 2022 season ranked seventh in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East play, while the Golden Bears (9-4-4, 8-4-4 PSAC East) finished third and are headed to the postseason.
The two conference opponents were locked at zero heading into the final five minutes of first-half play until Sadie Goad scored an unassisted goal in the 40th minute to give KU a one-goal lead going into the break.
The score would remain in favor of Kutztown until the 71st minute when

The final 10 minutes were action-packed as the Golden Bears jumped out in front again during the 80th minute when Goad notched her second go-ahead score of Saturday's match. The Marauders would then counter back with a goal of their own in the 86th minute --
Isabel Coy scored the unassisted goal, bringing her season-total to three.
Neither team would record a shot in the final three minutes of action, leading to the tie.

On the comeback effort: "Very proud of the resilience we showed today to come back twice. It was a much improved second half performance."
On the 2022 season: "It was a very challenging year for us and obviously not how we wanted or expected things to go. We did continue to fight all year which was very positive. Our second half of the season was better than the first which was positive as well. I thank all of the seniors for all of their efforts over the years. They're a great group of you women and I wish them all the best going forward. They're forever family."
