ABOUT THE GAME
- Millersville field hockey plays its only home game Friday amidst a two-week stretch that includes four road games. The Marauders are 6-0 at home and take on a Slippery Rock team that is 1-2 on the road and searching for its first PSAC win.
- Four games into the PSAC schedule, and there is no favorite. Millersville, East Stroudsburg and Kutztown are all 3-1 and Shippensburg is 4-1. Millersville has a loss to ESU while ESU lost to Shippensburg. Shippensburg lost to Kutztown, and Kutztown lost to West Chester. Of Millersville's six remaining regular season games, only two are at home and that includes Friday's game against Slippery Rock. Four PSAC teams have 10 victories.
- Millersville will recognize its six seniors prior to Friday's game. The 2022 senior class includes Codi Bollinger, Taylor Geisel, Bri Harsh, Kate Strickland, Kortlin Yetter and Pili Zaballa.

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS
- Millersville is looking to bounce back from its first PSAC loss, suffered Wednesday at East Stroudsburg. The game-winning goal was scored with no time remaining in regulation. Millersville was the second team all season to limit ESU to fewer than two goals while Millersville was held without a score for the first time in 12 games.
- Millersville is holding opponents to 0.92 goals per game and has held its opponent to one goal or fewer eight times. Millersville ranks second in the PSAC in goals against average with only ESU owning a better average (0.27).
- Kate Strickland's 13 goals rank first in the PSAC and second in Division II behind Converse's Lotte Kanters (2.11 goals per game). Millersville has never had a player lead the PSAC in goals in the “Statcrew Era” (beginning in 2002). Strickland is just six goals away from tying the school record, which was set by Dena Gockley in 1994.
- Ashlynn Lennon recorded her first defensive save the season in Wednesday's game at East Stroudsburg. It was only the third defensive save by a Marauder this season. Caroline Griffin and Grace Murray have the other two.
- Georgia Werkiser is having a career year in her final season. At Mercyhurst, she recorded her second career goal, and she now leads the team in assists with five. Werkiser had three total goals and one assist in each of her first three seasons prior to 2022.
