MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's soccer team fell to No. 25 West Chester on the road Saturday, 2-0.
West Chester (5-0-1, 5-0-1 PSAC East) scored early in the match ('5) and late ('89) to clinch a 2-0 win and remain without a loss on the year. The Golden Rams currently sit atop the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East (PSAC). Millersville (2-3, 2-3-1 PSAC East) is in the number five spot this far into the season.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• West Chester started off strong with a goal just five minutes into the match. Dani Cady scored the goal to put the Golden Rams up, and was assisted by Jaqueline Hug and Maggie Lena.
• Jenna Peters converted a PK in the 89th minute for the Golden Rams second goal of the afternoon.
• Millersville had a fair amount of opportunity throughout the match, with nine corners and eight total shots.
