Marauders fall to No. 4 Kutztown in double OT, 2-1

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's soccer team dropped a nail biter to No. 4 ranked Kutztown Wednesday night, 2-1.
The first half of the game was quiet, with no goals scored at the half. The match was scoreless until the 67th minute, when Emma Ellwell found Morgan Winchock for a goal to take the first lead of the night. Kutztown would respond 16 minutes later with a goal from Isabella Rossetti to tie the match at one. The Bears would win the game in double overtime off a goal from Brittany Arentz.
The Marauders will head east on Saturday to take on No. 25 West Chester. The game is slated for a 2:30 p.m. start on the PSAC Sports Digital Network.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Millersville goalkeeper, Reagan Kolinski played with maximum effort and totaled nine saves on the night, a season high for the junior.
• In the 67th minute Ellwell and Winchock took the ball down the field, exchanging passes through Bears defenders until Ellwell reached the goal line. Ellwell then sent a pass into the middle of the box for Winchock's second goal of the season.
• Kutztown midfielder, Rossetti snuck a ball past Kolinski in the 87th minute to send the match to overtime.
• The Bears struck again with less than five minutes left in double overtime. Arentz scored the golden goal to escape a Marauder upset.
