MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's soccer team (2-1-1, 2-1 PSAC East) won their second conference match this evening, defeating Shippensburg (2-3-1, 2-1-1 PSAC East) at home. The match was low scoring, similar to recent matches the Marauders have played. Three our of their first four games have only seen one goal from either team.
Rachel Leisher scored the only goal in the match. After the goal, each team had a number of chances, but neither were able to capitalize which led to a 1-0 Millersville win.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Millersville goalkeeper
Reagan Kolinski recorded her second shutout win of the season, allowing no goals off nine Shippensburg shots. She recorded three saves on the night in her second win. The keeper has been great to start the year, allowing only three goals in four games.
• The highlight of the match came in the 57th minute from Millersville midfielder,
Rachel Leisher. The redshirt junior took things into her own hands in the 57th minute, making her way past two Raider defenders and scoring from the top of the box.
