Men's soccer picked second in PSAC preseason poll

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Men's soccer coaches of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its preseason polls for the Eastern and Western Divisions Wednesday afternoon. West Chester (East) and Mercyhurst (West) were voted as the preseason favorites. Millersville came in at No. 2 in the East.
West Chester earned four first place votes in the East, followed by Millersville with three. Mercyhurst earned four first place votes in the West, while Gannon took the No. 2 spot earing two first place votes.
The 13-team conference is set to resume play for the first time since 2019 as the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Head Coach Steve Widdowson is entering his 14th season with the Marauders, and coming off back-to-back PSAC titles in 2018 and 2019. Widdowson has seven players returning from his 2019 championship team.
Millersville is set to start their 2021 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 5 p.m. at Pucillo Field.
