MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - In the second annual Miles for Marauders virtual distance challenge is underway and registration is open through Homecoming 2021. You can join a team and accumulate your steps or challenge yourself with a 5K, 10K or marathon to win prizes and help raise needed funds for scholarships at the same time.

Miles for Marauders is a virtual even operated by the Office of Alumni Engagement and Millersville University Athletics which started on Aug. 9 and ends on Oct. 17 as part of the virtual Homecoming celebration. Registration is just $25 per person and 100% of the registration fee supports scholarships. Participants can direct their registration fee toward the Champions Fund for Athletics or the Millersville University Scholarship Fund. 

There are two available challenges: "Skully Shuffle" and "Hustle to Homecoming." The Skully Shuffle is a team event comprised of up to eight members per team. The top three times with the most miles earned per person will earn a prize. The Hustle for Homecoming challenge is for individuals who chose to participate in a 5K, 10K or marathon-length run by Oct. 19. The top three females and top three males will win a prize. Each participant receives a commemorative Miles for Marauders t-shirt.
