Millersville Athletics increases number of PSAC Scholar-Athletes for sixth-straight year

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A department-record 190 Millersville University student-athletes have been named 2020-21 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athletes. This year's 190 broke last season's record amount of 169 and continues an upward trajectory for the Marauders. The number of Marauder scholar-athletes has grown in each of the last six years, increasing from 104 in 2016 to this year's 190.
The conference announced a new record of scholar-athletes as well with of 4,163 student-athletes from the 18 institutions. This year's number scholar-athletes were 55 percent of the student-athlete population of all 18 institutions. This broke the previous record as well.
Student-athletes must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA to be eligible for this honor. This was the 14th consecutive year that Millersville Athletics has totaled 100 or more PSAC Scholar-Athletes. Millersville's 190 scholar-athletes represents 44.4 percent of the total student-athlete population at Millersville, which is also a record. Millersville's student-athletes combined for a cumulative GPA of 3.22. Seventeen programs produced a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher with the women's cross country team's 3.58 cumulative GPA ranking as the highest.
Millersville University offered a pass/fail option for the fall 2020 semester as a result of remote education due to COVID-19.
