MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Lock Haven used a pair of late-inning offensive outbursts to take a PSAC East doubleheader from Millersville Tuesday at Seaber Stadium. Lock Haven won the opener 10-5 after scoring five runs in the top of the seventh, and scored seven runs in the final two innings to win game two, 10-2.
After winning six in a row, Millersville (8-6, 4-6 PSAC East) has now dropped four-straight, giving up 20 runs in the sixth and seventh innings of those losses. Lock Haven earned its first doubleheader sweep of the season, improving to 3-11 both overall and in the PSAC East.
GAME ONE (LOCK HAVEN 10, MILLERSVILLE 5)
• In the bottom of the sixth, it looked as if
Rebecca Blatt had saved the day. The fifth-year Marauder hit a grand slam that tied the game at 5-5. But Lock Haven immediately answered, scoring five runs in the top of the seventh to retake the lead and score the win. Each of the first seven hitters to come to the plate reached base on four hits, two walks and a hit batsman. The four hits were as many as Millersville totaled in the game.
• Blatt went 2-for-4, and
Hunter Little reached base four times, drawing three walks and getting hit by a pitch.
Marli Schreiner picked up an RBI on Millersville's first run, betting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the fourth inning.
GAME TWO (LOCK HAVEN 10, MILLERSVILLE 2)

Devan Masciulli's RBI double in the bottom of the fifth pulled Millersville to within a run at 3-2, but the Marauders' struggles with runners in scoring position continued, and the go-ahead run was left standing at second base. Lock Haven then turned to small ball in the top of the sixth to break the game open. Two bunt singles started the inning, and the Bald Eagles pushed across six runs on five singles, a double and two walks.
• Millersville committed a season-high three errors and also issued a season-high eight walks.
Faith Willenbrock hit her ninth home run of the season and went 2-for-3 at the plate.
NOTES
• Millersville hit a home run in each game, giving the team a homer in 20 of 22 games this season. Millersville was hit by five pitches in game one, which is a season-high.
• Little has drawn five walks in the last three games, and her three in game one vs. Lock Haven are a career-high.
