ABOUT THE GAME

  • Millersville will begin its title defense this week as the Marauders head to West Chester on Tuesday, Nov. 9 to face off with the No. 2 seeded Golden Rams. Millersville, the No. 3 seed, has won back-to-back Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament Championships and will look for a three-peat this time around.
  • Tuesday marks the first postseason matchup between the two programs since the Marauders defeated the Golden Rams in PK's in the 2018 PSAC Championship. Millersville has eight players on its current roster from the 2018 PSAC Championship team including Bobby Bosch, Brady Hochman, Nik Provazzo, Spencer Shortt, Matteo Adiletta, Jadon Courtney, Anthony Calamia, and Brenden Kavetski, who is currently injured. Provazzo and Kavetski started in the match, while Shortt and Calamia provided support off the bench with Shortt assisting in the game-tying goal at the 78th minute mark of play. Current Marauder assistant coach, Darian McCauley started in goal for Millersville in the 2018 win and will offer plenty of experience on the sideline during the upcoming match.
  • Two of the Marauders' five losses this season have came against West Chester, as the Golden Rams clinched a season series victory over Millersville following their 1-0 overtime win on Oct. 8. However, both matches were only lost by one goal and the Marauders have outshot the Golden Rams 24-16, including 9-6 on frame.
  • ‘The winner of Tuesday’s match will travel to Erie, Pa. to  face off with No. 1 seed in the PSAC West, Mercyhurst.
At this time of year it's just about staying sharp and being focused. We've done the work we need to do. It's just about executing on the day now, and that is going to be the key moving forward."
Head Coach Steve Widdowson
