A message from the Director of Athletics:
Amidst a global pandemic in which so many already have been affected, we all need to do our part to ensure that more are not impacted by the coronavirus. Millersville University, following the directives of Governor Wolf and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is striving to keep its community and students safe and healthy, and among those measures being taken is the cancellation of all on-campus events through May 15. This includes the fourth annual Dining with Champions. Presently, Millersville University employees are working remotely and student-athletes have returned home to study online. With the uncertainty of when regular operations will resume, we made the difficult decision to cancel and not reschedule the event.
Dining with Champions has served as a celebration of our best and brightest student-athletes and for those who unselfishly contribute to athletics by living the Marauder Way. While we cannot present these awards in person, we will still recognize our award winners online in the coming weeks, and I ask that you congratulate them along with me.
Each of our first three Dining with Champions saw us pack Pucillo Gymnasium with more than 200 Marauder supporters, raising an average of $25,000 for student-athlete scholarships and operations. These are unprecedented times, and all of us have been impacted by the pandemic. Millersville Athletics is no different. We rely heavily on the generosity of our alumni, corporate partners and fans and Dining with Champions serves as a significant fundraising event. I ask that you consider, in lieu of a ticket to Dining with Champions, a tax-deductible donation so we can continue to provide Millersville student-athletes with a championship experience.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Marauder Pride.
