COACH SHELLY BEHRENS QUOTES
• "I thought we played a good game. Credit to Newberry. They're a strong team. That's one of the best Newberry teams I've seen in some time. They got some confidence as the game went along. But, credit to our kids. They just stayed with the process as it went along. They stayed with our game plan. Some things were challenging, I think, but to be able to score in however minutes is a great job. It's a tough stretch right now, three games in five days."
• "This game can teach us some things. It's a different kind of opponent. I think we're used to our PSAC friends and those rivalries. Credit to Newberry and credit to our kids. They kept chipping away. They could have easily stopped and they didn't."
• "I give a lot of credit to the bench. The bench kept everybody in it too. There's little things that matter that are big things as you go through a season and a season can be a lifetime. I think those little things stuck out today that we didn't do well that we typically do well. That's on us to improve. Overall, well done to us to come from behind and score three goals. Interesting that we came from behind again. We didn't underestimate our opponent, but we could've done a little better from the get-go in the first two quarters, but the third and fourth I thought were excellent.
• "Mercyhurst, it's a PSAC opponent. Technically, it's a non-conference game. I'm going to remind them of what we're good at. We're going to take care of our bodies. We're going to take care of each other. We're going to come out and Sunday is a new start."
