MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -Â The Marauders welcome the nationally ranked Mercy College Mavericks to Pucillo Field on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. The Mavericks are ranked 16th in the country in Division 2 in the latest United Soccer Coaches' National Poll. Millersville has finally returned home after playing its first two games on the road in Wilmington, Del. The Marauders lost to Wilmington University 5-1 and defeated Goldey-Beacom in overtime 2-1.
ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
- Millersville has scored three goals on the season, each by a different player. Jacob Gosselin and Roger Buesmaill Jr. have scored from open play, and Nathan Maynard smashed home a game-winning penalty kick to defeat Goldey-Beacom.Â
- Maynard and fellow defender Bobby Wells have played every minute of every game thusfar. Freshman Michael Kreider has played all but seven minutes.
- Spencer Shortt has come close to finding the back of the net. He leads the Marauders in shots (5) and shots on goal (2). He assisted on Jacob Gosselin's goal in the season opener.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Mercy College was selected first in the East Coast Conference (ECC) Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Maverick seniors Maximiliano Rebolledo-Camus (11 goals, 25 points in 2018) and Gaston Rozenblum were selected ECC Preseason Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively.
- In 2018 the Mavericks earned a share of the ECC regular season championship for the first time since 1992. They advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1989.
- The Mavericks have scored two goals in each of the team's three contests in 2019: a 2-0 win against Assumption College, a 2-2 draw against Southern Connecticut State University, and a 2-1 win on Thursday Sept. 12 against Franklin Pierce University.
